Clarissa Reyes Falcon
Clarissa Reyes Falcon is a government and public relations professional representing over 30 years of unique experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors including serving 14 years working for the State Assembly and State Senate. In November 2010, Clarissa founded Falcon Strategies, a firm that specializes in strategic communications, project and issue advocacy, coalition building, and public policy analysis guiding clients through complicated government processes while deploying holistic approaches to engaging with communities.
In continuing her service to communities throughout San Diego County, Clarissa was appointed in September 2021 by Senate pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins to the California Transportation Commission and was reappointed in January 2024 to serve an additional four years representing the San Diego and Imperial Counties on the Commission. In addition, Clarissa serves on the Boards of the South Bay Family YMCA, Sweetwater Union High School Cares Foundation, Circulate San Diego, the UCSD Chancellor’s Community Advisory Board, member of the Fiat Lux Alliance for the University of California Office of the President, Boardmember of the Asian Business Association, and South County Economic Development Council as well as a founding Boardmember of the San Diego Leadership Alliance. Clarissa has been recognized as a Woman of the Year by former Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins and former State Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez.
Clarissa received her bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego, and lives in Bonita, CA with her husband, Michael, and children, Benjamin and Ella. In her spare time, Clarissa cultivates leaders through mentorship and speaking engagements, volunteers at community clean ups and food distribution drives. She also plays guitar and piano at her church and can sometimes be found with guitar at a campfire with family and friends.
